They’re hard. They’re easy. They are easy to peel ~ hard boiled eggs.
One of my absolute favorite piping-hot, comfort food breakfasts is creamed eggs over toast. What? You haven’t heard of it. I feel sorry for you. I am telling you, your life is not complete until you’ve tried it! Don’t let it scare your kiddos! My kids were a bit freeeeaked at first, but I coaxed them into trying it! Now, we’ve got two out of three on board!!!
But the most frustrating part of working with hard boiled eggs is peeling them. Ugh! What an absolute total, frustrating waste of time when it doesn’t go right! Uneven peeling, whole chunks coming off, kids crying because they don’t look right. I feel your pain, mama! But help has arrived! In the form of your reliable blogger!
Here is my surefire way to be sure that you’ve got beautiful, incredibly easy to peel hard boiled eggs every single time. Follow this recipe exactly and save yourself a ton of time and irritation!
~ Time saved ~ The Tupperware Chef Series Saucepan heats up very quickly, about 3-4 times faster than the average sauce pan! You also save time because they are so simple to peel, you spend about half the time working on that step!
~ Money saved ~ Your eggs will not go to waste! I don’t know how many eggs I have butchered so badly over the years attempting to peel them and having them end up looking like they’ve been peeled by a two year old because I did not boil them properly! Don’t let your eggs and hard-earned money go to waste!
~ Sanity Saved ~ Anytime someone saves me from losing my cool because I’ve completely screwed up in the kitchen is a sanity saver!
First things first, I want to point out that I absolutely, positively love my Tupperware Chef Series II set. That’s right! Tupperware is NOT just plastic storage containers! Be sure to scroll all the way down to find out more about what I believe is one of the best cookware on the market! I’ll be using the Chef Series II 2.6 qt. Saucepan.
Here we go!
Easy to Peel Hard Boiled Eggs
6 large eggs (adjust recipe as needed for the number of eggs you use)
1 pinch of salt
2 tsp. white vinegar
Water {just enough to cover your eggs}
Handful of ice cubes (I know, I keep it technical, don’t I?)
Carefully place your eggs in the Tupperware Chef Saucepan then cover with lukewarm water. Add your salt and vinegar.
Bring to a full boil over medium-high heat and boil for two minutes. Do not start your timer until the water has reached a full boil!
Remove from heat and cover with a tight lid. Do not attempt to use a plate, a towel or anything else to cover! Let’s not go cray here. Allow eggs to stand for approximately 10 minutes then drain and rinse with cool water. Fill your sauce pan with ice and cold water for about 4 minutes then PEEL!
What will you use your Easy to Peel Hard Boiled Eggs for? Easter eggs? Creamed eggs over toast? Egg salad? Yuuuuuummmmmmmmmmoo!
